Who we are: Lowermyinternet.com, operated by Hoosier Site Solutions LLC, (“we,” “us,” “our”) refers to this indevidual site and service and does not apply to any other holdings under Hoosier Site Solutions.
We help households switch to lower-cost home internet plans by providing informational guides and checklists (“Services”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1) Quick summary
We do not ask for or store your bank logins or ISP account passwords.
We collect basic contact info (e.g., email), form inputs (ZIP, selected ISP), site analytics, and purchase records.
We use trusted vendors (e.g., Stripe for payments, email providers) under data-processing agreements.
You can opt out of marketing, access or delete your data, and disable cookies (subject to necessary cookies for site function).
We don’t sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers for the purposes described here.
2) Scope & who this applies to
This policy applies to our website [[email protected]], subpages, and the Services we provide there. It doesn’t cover third-party sites we link to (e.g., ISP portals). Their policies govern their sites and services.
3) Personal data we collect
We collect information in three ways: you provide it; we collect it automatically; and we receive it from service providers.
A) Information you provide
- Contact details: email address; optionally your name (if you choose to provide it).
- Service intake: ZIP code, selected ISP/program, language preference, timing (“today/this week/later”).
- Transactions: purchase amount, items purchased, subscription status (via Stripe).
- Support messages: content of emails or forms you send us.
- Survey/interview responses (optional): your feedback and preferences.
B) Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data: IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on page, referrer URL.

C) Information from service providers
- Payment processor (Stripe): payment status, last 4 digits of card, card brand, expiration month/year, transaction IDs (we do not receive full card numbers or security codes).
- Analytics/ads platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta): aggregated and event-level data on visits and conversions, in pseudonymized form.
Sensitive data: We do not request or knowingly collect sensitive personal data (e.g., government IDs, health info). If you send sensitive info unintentionally, we will delete it when discovered.
Children: Our Services are not for children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe we have such data, contact us to delete it.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Each processes data per our instructions and applicable contracts.

- Business transfers: If we undergo a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred, subject to this policy’s protections.
We require vendors to implement security and to use data only to provide services to us.

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes described:
- Account/transaction records: up to 7 years (tax/audit).
- Email/lead data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion; in any case, routinely reviewed every 24 months.
- Support emails: up to 24 months for issue tracking.
- Analytics: per platform defaults (e.g., GA4 14 months) unless shortened in settings.
We may anonymize data for statistical use beyond these periods.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, least-privilege access to systems, and vendor security reviews. No system is 100% secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and/or authorities as required by law.

All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers or CVV codes. Stripe processes your payment data according to its own privacy policy and security certifications (PCI-DSS).

Our guides link to official ISP sites and other third parties. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting information there.
13) User-generated content & support submissions
If you send us feedback or share success stories, we may request consent to display anonymized quotes or initials/city. Do not send sensitive information (e.g., full account numbers, Social Security numbers) in support messages. If we receive such data inadvertently, we will delete it when discovered.

Our materials are informational and procedural. We don’t provide legal, financial, or benefits advice, and we cannot guarantee service availability at your address. Always rely on official ISP communications for final eligibility decisions.

- Selling/Sharing: We do not sell personal information. We may share limited identifiers and Internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising only with your consent (via cookie banner). You can opt out anytime via the banner or by contacting us.
- Sensitive information: Not collected.
- Data subject rights: Access, delete, correct, portability, limit use of sensitive info (not applicable), opt out of sharing for targeted advertising.

We only send marketing emails with your consent (opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email or by contacting us. We may still send transactional emails (e.g., purchase confirmations).
